Wolf's Rain

For the record, i must say the opening song is in english and is very good. The story line won't disappoint you either. Infact, you will be surprised by it's originality and creativity. The concepts are different from other anime but they hint towards real world problems like global warming. I won't give you much hint lest it rob the anime of it's magic.The ending of this series will really leave you doing some really deep thinking and will touch your heart.....

Story :
Enter a futuristic world where wolves have been thought to be extinct for nearly two hundren years. Legend has it that when the apocalypse comes, only wolves will be able to find true paradise.This is the setting for Wolf's Rain, an anime with amazing art and a story just as thrilling. 
A grimm fairy tale updated for the new century...this tale deals with a world where wolves walk among men in their guise. The story focuses around two main aspects that later collide, a special young girl and how she fits between two opposing and very powerful forces, and the group of wolves who disguise themselves as humans to get by in the world. There are lots of themes throughout this series and its one of the best ever drawn. The music is excellent and the pacing is definitely better than even typically good anime offerings. The real magic here is in the characters. You'll know all of the main characters names fairly quickly and thats because the writers have really crafted something that makes you care. I won't devulge too much about the plot..but I will say this..Wolf's Rain may be only 30 or so episodes but its as epic, daring, and original in its delivery as any anime has ever dared to dream of.

# Ghost in the shell: stand alone complex , S.A.C 2nd gig

Whoa there dude.. that's some really complex sh*t going on....I mean so many conspiracies combining to form a Mother-of-all conspiracy.

The technology in the anime is futuristic and very advanced. A special squad Public Security Section 9 gear up for countering  cyberterrorism  and exposing top level government scams. The anime is pretty good.The only problem i found was that these conspiracies tend to become so much complex that by the time solution was found, you start wondering what the beginning question was !!

Story
The world of GITS is set in a future where life between the digital and physical world has been blurred. With the advent of cyberisation people can exist as flesh and blood, cyborgs or androids. The stand alone complex follows the exploits of Public Security Section 9, a counter-terrorist network and anti-crime unit made up of former military officers and police detectives operating in the Japanese National Public Safety Commission
The series consists of two types of episodes stand alones which are single once off episodes and complex episodes which deal with the main story of the series the Laughing Man case. In 2024, the terrorist incident known as "The Laughing Man Incident" occurred in which Ernest Serano, president of the groundbreaking micromachine company, Sereno Genomics, was kidnapped and ransomed. One day, the case having remained unsolved for six years, Detective Yamaguchi, who has been investigating "The Laughing Man Incident," sends word that he wants to meet with Togusa from Public Safety Section 9. However, soon after sending this message, Yamaguchi, crucial to the success of the case, dies in an accident. Many days pass and in the midst of a police interview relay concerning suspicions behind interceptors, a forewarning is received from "The Laughing Man" of his next crime. The incorporeal hacker begins to move once again.

In the sequel GITS: 2nd gig Cheif Aramaki's crew is back with even more experience and heavy artillery. But this time they're going to be given a run for their money! The Individual Eleven's time has come, and the mysterious personality, Gota, seems all too much in favor of their endeavors. Things get out of hand quickly, and enemies seem to be appearing out from everywhere. Revolution is coming fast, and with it the threat of another nuclear war. Just when they think they've got the answer, a new dimension is added to the playing field, and old hands are scrapped for new. Can this threat be countered? Or will years of nation-states' ignorance toward refugees be their final undoing?

# Samurai Champloo

“Taking Hip-Hop to another Level.”

Samarai Champloo is simply the best anime for beginners and is also very entertaining to the hardcore anime fans. Animation is well done and the sound track is superb. But the most interesting aspects of this anime are the characters and the stories behind them. This anime provides excellent drama,good action and probably amongst the best in humor. It is a must see for everyone as it contains something for everyone. Each episode is a different exciting adventures.

Story

Samurai Champloo is about three people whose lives collide one day in a tea shop. It all starts when Fuu, a waitress in the tea shop, makes a deal with Mugen, a crazy, sword carrying, jerk. He agrees to help her get rid of a few troublemakers that were in the shop at the time. Mugen soon gets carried away and that's when Jin comes in. The complete opposite of Mugen; Jin is a calm strategic swordsmen. Once the two meet eyes, all hell breaks lose. In the end they get arrested and scheduled to be beheaded the next day. However, Fuu has other plans for them that require them to be alive. She helps them escape, but in return, they must become her bodyguards as she journeys to find the samurai who smells of sunflowers.Little do the three unique characters realize just where fate will take them.

# Welcome to the N.H.K

The main theme of this anime can be said to be consisting four of the following:

• people who have no idea whatsoever about what they are doing or what they want to do
• those who hate their life from their very core (but are afraid of ending it by commiting suicide)
• complete retards who shut themselves all their life into their room
• jobless bumps who still leech off their parents at age 22+

Now you decide what kind of anime it is!!!!
People have a mixed response regarding this anime. Some like it and some don't. Depends upon their choice.
I personally have mixed emotions. Some parts are fun while some will to make you wanna tear your hair apart with frustration.

Story
There's a growing class of people in Japan - the hikikomori, or to be more polite, the NEET (Not pursuing Employment, Education or Training) - who live as shut-ins from society, making just enough money to survive, either through work or by living with their parents indefinitely, but otherwise completely isolating themselves from the outside world.The main character Satou has found himself trapped in the hikikomori lifestyle, so much so that he considers himself a professional hikikomori. Smart enough to know how to live this kind of lifestyle, he's a midway-through-college dropout, sponging off his parents for an allowance and half-heartedly working with his neighbor and fellow shut-in Yamazaki to create the greatest hentai game of all time. He's a conspiracy nut, and feels the greatest conspiracy affecting him is the Japanese television channel N.H.K. Along the way he runs into a cute but very strange girl named Misaki, who feels she can "cure" him of the hikikomori lifestyle through nightly "therapy" sessions where she quotes everyone from Jung to Freud in the hopes that something will cause him to break out of the mold he's created for himself. It's quite possibly the weirdest love story you'll ever see.

But Welcome to the NHK works on many different levels, and there are a lot of different facets to this anime. Satou wants to escape his shut-in lifestyle, but at the same time he feels it's the one thing in life he's good at, so the cycle perpetuates itself around him. Still, his desperation to find anything outside his own life leads him down some questionable paths, particularly when his friend Yamazaki turns him into a "involuntary" pedophile for a short time thanks to overexposure to his collection of hentai video games. The "cure" Satou undergoes to break himself of his new loli-con fetish is perhaps one of the funniest parts of the anime.
Another popular theme is that of control. Satou feels like he's lost control of his life, thanks to the evil entity known as the N.H.K. Yamazaki feels he can't escape his destiny to follow in his father's footsteps as a dairy farmer, and thus pursues a career in animation to find something as far removed from that life as possible. Misaki sees an opportunity to control Satou in order to make someone more pathetic than her fall in love with her to help boost her own self-esteem. Ultimately, it's the attempt to control things that are uncontrollable that provide a lot of the conflict in the characters' lives. Even when paired up, as Satou and Yamazaki attempt to create the game that will propel them out of their humdrum lives, it's evident that as humans, the more we try to control our worlds, the more we find out how much we can't.

4: Honey & Clover I and II

 Now you will be wondering who's this new guy in town. Most of you wouldn't have heard the name. But believe me, if you are ready to watch an anime that's different from other action packed adrenaline-rush anime , you are in for a real treat. This anime deals with simple joys of life and is almost as good as the shows on Comedy Central. The animations and story line are aimed to make you laugh your head off. Mind you this anime contains bloodless violence, some serious romance and love triangles, but surprisingly they are quite enjoyable. By popular demand , the second series was created to tie up loose ends of first series.

Story

Takemoto Yuuta, Mayama Takumi, and Morita Shinobu are college students who share the small apartment. Even though they live in poverty, the three of them are able to obtain pleasure through small things in life. The story follows these characters' life stories as poor college students, as well as their love lives when a short but talented 18 year old girl called Hanamoto Hagumi appears.

3: Death Note

Now this is the real deal. The first four episodes will get you hooked to this suspense anime. One of my personal favorite. The mind games between the two key characters are very clever.

Story

The world is rotting.The gods of death 'shinigami' themselves have no further purpose, and have become mere shadows of their former selves. Humans have become even more wicked, crime sky-rocketing with every new venue opened.... But when one Shinigami decides to end his boredom once and for all, humanity is dealt it's greatest threat. The Death Note: a notebook shinigami's use to specify the deaths and their causes of human beings (outside natural causes), falls into human hands. Light Yagami's hands to be exact. Tired of watching humans hurt each other for their own selfish gain, he decides to become the enforcer of justice in the new age. The age of LIGHT! Will he truly become a god among men, or will Ryuk, the former owner of Light's Death Note, be his own undoing?

I can literally hear the groan from all those die-hard naruto fans out there for giving it the second slot. But believe me guys it was a tough choice.

The only bad thing about this series is that people are getting sick of naruto shouting "sasuke sasuke sasuke hokage hokage blah blah". I mean give poor Sasuke a break.

Story:

Naruto closely follows the life of a boy who is feared and detested by the villagers of the hidden leaf village of Konoha. The distrust of the boy has little to do with the boy himself, but it’s what’s inside him that causes anxiety. Long before Naruto came to be, a Kyuubi (demon fox) with great fury and power waged war taking many lives. The battle ensued for a long time until a man known as the Fourth Hokage, Yondaime, the strongest ninja in Konoha, fiercely fought the Kyuubi. The fight was soon won by Yondaime as he sealed the evil demon in a human body. Thus the boy, Naruto, was born. As Naruto grows he decides to become the strongest ninja in Konoha in an effort to show everyone that he is not as they perceive him to be, but is a human being worthy of love and admiration. But the road to becoming Hokage, the title for the strongest ninja in Konoha, is a long and arduous one. It is a path filled with betrayal, pain, and loss; but with hard work, Naruto may achieve Hokage.

Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto.The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki.
